An Outstanding Student Leader Gave a Practical and Powerful Message on God's Love at the Atlanta Club!

Thank you for continuing to stand in the gap for the youth of America! God is moving powerfully through your intercession!

Atlanta has outstanding student leaders!. One of the club leaders gave a clear and powerful message this past week about God’s love and quoted Matthew 22:37: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (The Great Commandment) She practically discussed how we can love God more and encouraged her peers to have a daily quiet time. She also addressed the importance of being careful with what we speak. This young woman is an amazing, Christ-like example who we believe will greatly influence the student body at this high school!

Club members were able to break into five small groups and discuss the message and personal issues with the student leaders, a staff member and volunteer. This was also a time of prayer for individual needs. Two young ladies expressed that they have been ‘born again’ by the Power of Jesus Christ. At the end of the club, everyone formed a big circle as another student leader, a young man who wants to become a full-time preacher at 18, closed the meeting with a powerful prayer. One young man stayed over and talked about a great need in his family and his family's commitment to Christ.

*Please pray for his grandmother who is having a serious operation to remove a brain tumor. The operation is scheduled for sometime around October 19th.*

God is drawing mature ‘born again’ believers into the club! Let's pray that God will allow these students to become catalysts of a Gospel Awakening at this high school and beyond!

Last week, one young man shared with a volunteer that he does not have a father and his mother is coming out of drug rehabilitation. He said his finances are so tight that he has to come to school to get free breakfast and can only attend club meetings if food is provided.

The needs of these students are truly heart-wrenching. Prayer is one of our greatest weapons against the powers of darkness invading our nation. Our students are fighting giants that many of us have never faced before. We live in a culture that is pushing sexual promiscuity, hatred, violence, secularism, etc. Let us stand in the gap for these precious students and cry out to God for revival on our land! May lost, self-destructive gang leaders get radically ‘born again!’ Lord God, allow the “Sauls” of these schools to become  “Pauls” so that whole campuses can be reached for Christ!

Your prayers are parting the red sea for the powerful students and the hurting students!

Love in Christ,

Joseph, Prince, Ashley, and the Crossroads Team
