Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today we honor an amazing man of God who gave his life for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Patrick was taken captive by barbarians at the age of 16 and spent six years as a slave in Ireland. After he escaped, he joined a monastery and eventually returned to the Irish people that he loved. He dedicated 30 years of his life to spreading the Gospel throughout this treacherous, pagan region.

“For daily I expect to be murdered or betrayed or reduced to slavery if the occasion arises. But I fear nothing, because of the promises of Heaven; for I have cast myself into the hands of Almighty God, who reigns everywhere. As the prophet says: 'Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain you.'”

May we be 'St. Patrick's' in our nation by giving our lives to the Gospel of Christ no matter the cost!
