Wednesday Prayer and Fasting! Fast From the World and Feast on God's Radical Love for You!

The FCS Club is calling a day of prayer and fasting every Wednesday! 

Jesus said, "When you fast…" (Matthew 6:16)—not if! Fasting isn’t just for the super spiritual; it’s a way to grow closer to Jesus. It's about cutting out distractions (social media, gossip, food, etc.) and filling up on God’s radical love for you! He gave His Son so you could have eternal life! (John 3:16)

Why Fast?

Fast the world and feast on God's love!

Matthew 4:4 – “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

· Get Closer to God – Fasting clears the noise so you can hear His voice. Step away from worldly distractions and feast on His love!

· Break Free from Distractions – Shift your focus from the world to Jesus. Let go of what pulls you away and embrace God’s presence!

· Pray with Power – Fasting fuels your prayers for revival, healing, and breakthroughs. When you hunger for God, He moves powerfully!

· Grow in God's Love – It strengthens self-control and deepens your faith. Fill up on God’s truth instead of temporary worldly things!

Ways to Fast:

 John 6:35 – “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.”

· Skip a Meal & Pray – Use that time to seek God and be nourished by His Word.

· Daniel Fast – Eat only fruits & veggies like Daniel (Daniel 1:12) as you hunger for God more than food.

· Media Fast – Step away from social media & entertainment to feast on God’s love and truth!

Make It a Lifestyle:

 1 John 2:15-16 – “Do not love the world or the things in the world… For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.”

· Fast weekly or monthly to stay spiritually sharp and focus on God's radical love!

· Fast with friends for accountability & support as you seek Him together.

· Let God lead you on what and how to fast, trusting Him to fill you more than the world ever could.

Let’s dedicate ourselves to praying and fasting for our fellow students, the FCS club, and our school—believing for revival, transformation, and a greater hunger for God, as well as any personal needs on our hearts. God hears our prayers and honors the sacrifices we offer to Him!
