Happy Juneteenth!

On June 19th 1865, freedom was proclaimed for the slaves in Galveston, TX. But, they were already free. President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 . Jesus paid the price for us at the cross! So, we are already free. The atrocity of slavery and its horrific aftermath is something that still haunts our world. But, leaders--people everywhere can work to break these chains with the power of Jesus. Believe you are free in Christ and have the power to make change like God intends!

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." -Galatians 5:1
